Give Pizza A Chance Final Week
Venerable cart Give Pizza A Chance will shutter at the end of the week after a wonderful 6 year run. Original owner John Eads and current owner Scott Davison will be in the cart this week to greet regulars and serve up their signature pizza. It wasn't too long ago that Give Pizza A Chance was the only pizza cart in town and being at SW 5th and Stark, they drew the crowds. John's intent with the cart was to make quality pizza with local ingredients for a fair price and he succeeded in that. When Scott took over the cart, he continued with the tradition. (John went on to open Pyro Pizza, his wood-fired pizza cart at Cartopia.)

Over the years, I know I've enjoyed more than a few slices. Give Pizza A Chance became sort of a go-to cart for a quick bite when on the run. I know I'll miss seeing it on my daily walks. A couple of years ago, Scott Davison formed Vocaform
, a non-profit who's mission is to inspire the next generation into vocation. He brings eager workers into the cart to have them experience the real world and see how to run a small business. He also works with other small businesses to assist them in streamlining their vocation. After Give Pizza A Chance closes, Chez Dodo will take it over, bringing their ever flavorful Mauritian cuisine to downtown. Watch for them to open in a couple of weeks.

If you enjoy a good slice, drop on by Give Pizza A Chance this week for lunch at SW 5th and Stark and wish everyone luck in their next adventures.
