Pork sandwich lovers will be saddened to learn that The People's Pig has closed. The cart at SW 9th and Alder closed at the end of last week and new owners are already prepping to open soon. Cliff Allen is taking some time off to get his new cart off the ground. Watch for an opening this summer on 10th and Alder. Good luck Cliff, we'll miss the Porchetta.

Minizo, one of the city's ramen carts has moved from SW 9th and Washington to the new lot on NE 15th and Alberta. Not sure if they are open yet, but I'm envious of Alberta.

When I began writing online more than a few years ago, one of the Portland writers I followed diligently was Brandon with his Another Portland Blog. His witty take on all things Portland kept it fresh without being mean. Brandon moved to the Netherlands last year and started Another World Blog
. Recently he attended a food cart festival in Amsterdam and reported about his findings. Those Dutch have some imagination. They have a cart shaped like a tug boat, one with a DJ on the roof and even a cart named Sangria which bore a Ferris wheel with tables attached. Worth a read
just for the photos of the different carts. Thanks Brandon for the heads up.

Keep on Eatin' on the street.
