The Bite of Oregon - August 12-14

The Bite of Oregon, the state's largest culinary event, is celebrating its 28th year in style - by adding more food carts. The Bite, which takes place on the waterfront, has been showcasing the state and the city's best restaurants and chefs while feeding you - all to benefit The Special Olympics of Oregon. In 2010, The Bite invited their first food carts and after a weekend of amazing success, they realized that the food cart chefs of this city can stand with the big guys. This year's line up is awesome:

• Koi Fusion
• Saucy's BBQ Ribs and Fish
• Slice Brick Oven Pizza
• Taqueria El Gallo
• Yoyo and Lefty's

Portland is blessed with some amazing individuals who have some rad skills in the kitchen and come out to events like The Bite to support organizations like Special Olympics. The weekend long event will offer you the ability to taste some great food from each of the venders along with events that will showcase cooking demonstrations and wine tasting and even a competition between amateur chefs.
