Food carts open Black Friday

It’s 11am on Friday and you’ve been shopping for a few hours – OR, you are just getting to your holiday shopping. Either way, you are hungry and don’t really want another Subway sandwich or teriyaki from the mall. You want something unique and Portland – a food cart lunch.

Luckily for you, many of the food carts downtown and close in SE will be open on Friday to feed the shoppers.  Here is the list of the carts that I am aware of that are open on Friday:

• Ali Baba’s on SW 10th and Alder
• Buddha Bites on SW 4th and College
• Wy’East Pizza on SE 50th, just north of Powell
• Fat Kitty Falafel on SE 21st and Powell
• BrunchBox on SW 5th and Oak
• Sidecart on SW 5th and Oak – you know you want cheese fries after Nordstrom’s
• Grilled Cheese Grill on NE 11th and Alberta – mmm, grilled cheese
• The Sugar Cube – open normal hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Whiffies on SE 12th and Hawthorne
• Savor Soup House on SW 10th and Alder
• Mum’s Kitchen – South African Indian food – N Fremont @ Vancouver
• M0no Malo – new cart on NE 23rd and Alberta – Tapas.
• Potato Champion @ Cartopia
• Perierra Creperie @ Cartopia
• Fuego de Lotus on NE 23rd and Alberta

There are probably more to add to this list, but I couldn’t get to all the carts to confirm. If you know of a cart open this weekend that isn’t listed, let me know and we’ll update the list.
