Plus an interview about Portland’s Food Cart scene with yours truly. This episode was filmed on that strange weather day back in the first week of June when a freak storm rolled through Portland. Just as we started filming, the wind was picking up and coming down Alberta st. Such a crazy afternoon. Made all better by the tasty sandwiches from Grilled Cheese Grill. Enjoy.

I think you need a new host. Perhaps someone local, hip, stylish & witty. You need someone that is relatable, flexible and easy to converse with. Dan is awkward and not very influential. Carts are HOT and trendy and your host looks sloppy and out of style. There isn’t anything about him that screams “take my advice and visit”. His interviewing skills are lame and unrehearsed and he seems to make these vendor owners/employees uncomfortable.
Find someone else who looks the part, acts the part and makes a person really want to go out of there way to check these places out.
Maybe a person with knowledge in culinary training, food trends, fashion trends, design trends, business sense-not just a person who has a like for food, funky glasses and bad shirts.
I like the written blog and video. I did found a few new carts to try.
Advice,
VendrTV isn’t part of Food Carts Portland. VendrTV is a production out of New York that is traveling all over the nation to taste street food and Dan is the host. We posted the above video as it highlights a Portland food cart and me.
