Scoop Handmade Ice Cream
The first really hot weekend of summer is here. Forecasters are predictiong 80's-90's for Portland and beyond. Some people will stay inside, others will hit the rivers. I'll be visiting food carts as I do. In the heat though, one will want something cool - maybe ice cream or shaved ice or a nice cold adult beverage. Here are some suggestions for cool treats at the food carts:
- Scoop Handmade Ice Cream - North Station @ N Greeley and Killingsworth, Ala Carts @ SE 50th and Division, Central East Side Pod @ SE MLK and Washington
- Fifty Licks Ice Cream - Good Food Here @ SE 43rd and Belmont
- Mix 'N' Match Creamery fresh made ice cream made with liquid nitrogen - SW 3rd and Ankeny
- Sideshow has soft serve ice cream at SW 9th and Washington
- Moberi can make you a cool smoothie on a bike @ Rose City Food Park at NE 52nd and Sandy
- Local Girls Hawaiian Shaved Ice @ Cartlandia at SE 82nd and Harney
- Captured By Porches has beer for the adults in the crowd at Kruger Farms on N Lombard or at NE 23rd and Alberta
I'm excited to try some of the above. What's your favorite cool treat from a cart?
