The Bite Of Oregon is back and celebrating 40 years of Special Olympics Oregon. Taking over the waterfront from Friday to Sunday, this celebration of Oregon’s food has been a mainstay of summer events for years. There will be restaurants, microbreweries, distilleries, wineries and food carts. This year, 808 Grinds, Koi Fusion and Nikki and Lefty’s will dish up their treats to showcase just some of Portland’s dynamic street food scene. I’ll be in attendance on Sunday judging the Military Throwdown, a culinary competition between chefs from different branches of the services. Come on down and enjoy what Oregon chefs and artisans have to offer.
The Bite of Oregon
August 10-12, Tom McCall Waterfront Park

Of course it would be the most pretentious food carts at the bite this year.
The Bite is open to anyone to participate, so any cart could have done it if they wanted to pay the appropriate fees.
