  1. That would have been nice to know about a little sooner so I could have planned for it.

  2. So what happened please somebody share

  3. Now that you are a part of the association, how will that not bias your reviews of carts?

  4. Thanks for the question. One item to note is that we don’t review carts here at Food Carts Portland, we profile them and tell their story. I don’t personally see a conflict of interest since I write about each and every cart with the same approach and with the same positive outlook. Everyone has a story.

  5. Not to be argumentative but I read your articles and they are full of commentary about the taste of the food, thus you are reviewing them.

This was taken from your last article

“I just stared at it for a minute not sure what to think, but took the first bite and tasted the sweetness of the dough mixed with the excellent choice of cheese and meats. So good. We even tasted a bit of wine in there, but Etienne explained that beignet dough is over yeasty which brings out those types of flavors and smells. A great twist on an already wonderfully decadent sandwich.”

Bottom line is you don’t want to disuade carts from joining if they didn’t get a good write up, or do you only post the positive articles?

  6. John, if you are a regular reader, you would see that we only post positive articles. We are here to tell the cart’s story and let our readers know what they have to offer.

Another item to note is that the Street Food Association was the inception of food cart owners, not Food Carts Portland. I am involved and participating in the activities, but they are the drivers.

If you would like to discuss further, feel free to contact me at foodcartsportland@gmail.com

  7. I just noticed a typo in the web link to the Street Food Association. The link is good and will access the intended page but is misspelled.

“More information can be found at ORFSA.org.” The F and S are transposed. Not a huge deal but could lead to a clunky introduction to the site.

    Peace, Love and Grub!
