Food Cart Moves [updated]

Slow & Low, a wonderful sandwich cart moved from N Albina to a new pod on E Burnside at 7th. They are set to open today, Friday, with their signature pork confit and pork butt sandwiches. I believe they will keep their lunch hours and be open into the evening. We’ll visit to get the lowdown both on the move and the new pod.

Rockabillies, another sandwich cart, but from downtown has moved to the new Good Food Here pod on SE 43rd and Belmont. Opened earlier this year, I think the SE location may provide them with a better customer base than where they were downtown. The pod – Good Food Here is quickly growing and has become the talk of the town in the last few weeks.

Namu, a great Korean BBQ cart has also moved to SE 43rd and Belmont from their location on Hawthorne. has opened a 2nd location at SE 43rd and Belmont. No move, just expansion. I guess we’ll need to venture south to make a visit.

What else is at 7th & E Burnside?

I wish the Good Food Here website listed the carts who are operating out of that pod. Anyone have any idea what is currently there?

Namu, Rockabillies, Lori’s Cart (aka, Lucille’s Balls, aka meatballs), Yum Zap (northern Thai), the Mexican cart from 34th and Belmont, a French cart, Dog Eat Dog (hot dogs and cheesesteaks), and soon to be many more (if there aren’t more already). I believe the plan is to have about 18 running by Belmont Street Fair (early September).
