I received an email from a friend looking for a food cart for their famous New Year’s Eve party:
I’m looking for a transportable food cart/owner who is interested in vending at my New Year’s Eve party. This party has been pretty big in the past, and we’re not expecting this year to be any exception. In years past, we’ve had over 300 guests at our open parties, and 150 at our invite-only parties. This year, we’re going to have 4 bands playing live, and are expecting a very large group of people. We’d love to have a food cart this year. It’d be a golden opportunity for the cart to make some $$, and have a captive audience/market.
Terms for the food cart proprietor/proprietress
1. Cart owners are responsible for transporting your cart to/from our house.
2. Cart owners are responsible for any licensing/permit issues which are required by the city.
3. We won’t be paying to have your cart at our location, and in return, we’re not charging you rental space for the night. This isn’t a catered event, we just want to offer our party as a location to provide you with more exposure.
4. We’re not responsible for anything that happens to your cart! Our friends are responsible, but we’re not responsible for them.
5. If you so happen to want to hook us up with some food, we won’t complain.![]()

Hello there! We would love to be your party cart! We have had a food booth down at Portland Saturday Market for 5 months now and in January 2010 we will have a food cart at 48th and Woodstock in the Joinery lot!
This would be a great way to kick off the new year and spread the word about our new cart at the same time! Win! Win! We have Hand-dipped corndogs and veggie dogs! We make the batter from scratch and use the most local ingredients possible. We use 100% all natural beef hotdogs and Smartdogs for our veggie dogs. We also do Organic Yukon Gold and Yam fries that are tossed in herbed carmelized onions! There is also a Breakfast Sandwich with Bacon, egg and cheese on a homemade English muffin. The soup rotates and is always delicious, served with a piece of herbed Focaccia.
There is also a large variety of handmade treats! Cookies, cakes, fried hand pies, etc… Best part is that nothing is more than $5 bucks!!! Recession-proof! Look forward to hearing back from you.
Peace,
Sherri HUTCHison
So sorry I left the above message here! I did not mean to. Meant to go to e-mail.
