A fellow food enthusiast, T. W. Barrit was in Portland a couple of weeks ago checking out wine country, local restaurants, spirits and, yes, food carts. I took him around, showing him the pods downtown and we enjoyed a great lunch from Ziba’s Pitas and a chat. He wrote a great article on his site Culinary Types.

So is Give Pizza a Chance opening this weekend or the end of next month?!?!?
Murray,
I’m not sure. I’ll try and find out. I was at the downtown location a couple of weeks ago when I heard them talking about it with regular customers, but haven’t been down to Cartopia since to see if it is there or not.
D
Thanks for the info!
Murray, I got a response back from Cartopia and it doesn’t look like the cart is there yet. Keep on hoping for a November launch.
Why did Asian Station close? I liked that place.
I just stopped by Fuego de Lotus on Alberta tonight. I only had a few bucks in my pocket, so I only ordered the “Street Stew” (chicken tortilla soup). The owner was great and even gave us a complimentary vegan dulce-de-leche hand pie. Delicious!!! This place definitely warrants a full review, and I will be back for more.
