SideCart, that decadent fried food cart on SW 5th and Oak is expanding their menu next week to include fried chicken. When Ryan at BrunchBox informed me of this yesterday, my saliva glands did a happy dance. Watch for the tweets next week. Follow @PDXFoodCarts if you aren’t already.

Gourmet Magazine has shuttered. Bad news for foodies all around. Nancy Rommelmann, a great food writer and contributor to Portland Food and Drink wrote a great post on what it meant to her here. Gourmet recently showcased street food all around the nation, including Portland. Hopefully that will stay online forever.
