Went to the 82nd and Holgate location to try this place, but didn't realized until after ordering it was a different truck (Alberto's, I think). Food at the new truck in that location was lousy - sopes were bland and undercooked, everything was generally flavorless, lady running the cart seemed angry we were there.

Opps, I made a mistake, they used to be on 112th and Powell, now at 82nd and Holgate. There is a different taco truck on 124th and Powell that is great for their pastor tacos in the evening.

No, they used to be on 122nd and Powell and now have moved to 82nd and Holgate. They have the best food and yes, the hand made fresh tortillas make all the difference.

Not only is this cart within walking distance for me, the tortillas are also handmade, cinching this place as my fave taco cart. Additionally; they also have al pastor(marinated pork) if you ask for it.

Sounds good, and looking forward to more taco truck writeups! I'll actually be downtown later this morning and I'm thinking about trying a burrito from the cart just to the right of Jarochita (when you're standing facing both). Can't remember the name, but I don't think it's been reviewed here. The problem, of course, is that it's right next to Jarochita. Yum. Another problem is that I also have to walk directly past Brunch Box to get there when I step off the 15 bus at 5th & Washington, so sometimes I don't even make it any further than them...

Another one I'd like to hear some thoughts on would be El Brasero, the late-night (and they open at 6 AM for breakfast on weekdays too, I believe?) taco / burrito cart in the SE 12th & Hawthorne lot. I was there the other day and came thisclose to trying it, but backed out at the last second and just stuck with a cone of fries from Potato Champion. Known quantity, and all that. El Brasero looked kinda $$$, too. Hmmm...

I love this cart! It's a true taco truck in the most traditional Los Angeles style of the word Taco Truck. No frills, no fancy. All races, ethnicities and walks of life go there to chow down.

Also, this being Hispanic Heritage Month, and me being back in PDX on Saturday, I think Dieselboi and I should write up more taco trucks this month.

Agree?
