I live two blocks from here and used to grab a burrito from here when I needed something fast.

This place is not a very good taco truck. They are very inconsistent. Sometimes the rice is flavorless, sometimes the beans are mealy. The meat is never the same twice. Sometimes the chicken is tender and well-seasoned, sometimes it is dry. Sometimes the asada is crispy and savory, sometimes it is unspeakably gristly. I’ve even had a burrito that was so poorly wrapped that it started falling apart.

The only reason I come here is because it is so close. Gorditos on 50th and Division is worlds better, and La Bamba on Foster/Powell has some good stuff. With Foster Burger in the area now, and Pho Hung down the street, there is little reason to eat at this place. To top it off, my friend got a burrito from here a couple of weeks ago that literally smelled like chlorine. I don’t know if they sprayed bleach too close to the tortillas, but…. !!!

The Barvacoa burritos, birria (goat) burritos, birria tacos too good to try anything else. We need to double-budget so we can get our favorites + try new stuff too. I love this place. Love.

Can’t beat it for the money. Really tasty, good traditional tacos. I eat at this place all the time.

I eat here once a week and I can’t say enough about their carnitas tortas. They are much more flavorful and twice the size of everybody elses torta. Another good choice is their pambazo which is a torta dipped in chile sauce and griddled.

You know, it was ‘ok’. I like “alternative meats” like goat and beef cheeks, and they brought ‘em. They were quite tasty. The tortillas were warm and fresh too.

The day I ate there however, I was starving, in low blood sugar mode, the rain was whipping up a frenzy and I just ate really fast.

I’d be more interested in what others think, so let us know.

And for $1.25 per taco, it’s hardly a risky proposition eating there.
