Audrey's Food Cart Map

I love maps. I really, really do. Sometimes I get these emails from other map lovers too. They generally sound like this,

Dear Cuisine Bonne Femme,

Have you ever thought about making one BIG map of all the food carts in Portland?

I usually answer,

Great Idea! I’m a bit too busy stuffing my face with a chile relleno burrito from a food cart right now to make any maps, but have you checked out the more than absolutely wonderful AUDREY’S FOOD CART MAP of Portland? Well, you should.

(Thanks for being so fantastique Miss Audrey. And thanks for being so very open source and for allowing me to steal use your data. It’s folks like you that make Portland so very, very cool indeed).

    Thanks for mentioning the map!

It’s publicly editable through Google Maps, so anyone can add and update carts. If you haven’t worked with custom maps before, there’s a guide here: http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=68480

I really do wish you’d have one of your interns update Audrey’s map with all of your latest reviews. For instance, I see no “Bro Dogs” on Audrey’s maps. And I am really too busy stuffing my face to do it for you.

    Audrey,

Do you know – can I import your map into another map I am making that is specific to a food conference I am working on??
    Thanks for you help!
