Today’s A&E Section features a fairly large write-up (but a fairly small listing) of several food carts in Downtown, mostly at the SW 9th and Alder and SW 5th and Oak parking lots. Lots of big photos though. You can try searching the Oregonian’s heinous website to find the article. Listings for all the usual suspects such as Tabor, Snow White Crepe House, Aybla, Samurai, etc. They do have a nice little profile on the no-nonsense Northwest Hot Dog located at Jamison Square Park in the Pearl District. And yes, Northwest Hot Dog is on my list to check out.
The “Platter” section by Christina Melander also features a profile of the newish Filipino cart on N. Mississippi, a place I’ve been meaning to check out for a few weeks now. The owner apparently has some swanky restaurant credentials including gigs at Meriwether’s and The Hotel Deluxe’s Driftwood Room. Hey, their loss might be our gain so expect a write-up soon.
I’m out of town for the next few days, but will be hitting the carts hard next week. Have a terrific weekend everyone.

Oregonian = lame website indeed.
Great site here.
Great Thai place at around 4th and Harrison up here near PSU.
Thanks Dave, I will check out the Thai place. It’s nice to know that PSU students are getting more cheap (and better) options than the cafeteria in Smith Center.
