I'll just say that, yes, the Pho might be delicious from this place. But not worth a 3rd degree burn. Half an hour after receiving my food, I sat down and went to open it. The flimsy cardboard top popped off of the container and the soup spilt on my hand. I literally have the most disgusting 3rd degree burn on my left hand now. There is absolutely no reason why soup should be this hot.. If this would have happened at a restaurant rather than a food cart, there would have been a pretty little lawsuit.

He makes EASILY the best Pho I've ever had. The lemongrass special is an experience not to be missed. This is up there with the best foods of any type in PDX. His hot peppers are the real thing too!

Le makes *the* best pho I have ever tasted. His soups are fresh - made while you wait - and the broth is simply heavenly. It is totally worth the wait... he's also open late on the weekends - a great way to tie up a night out.

Pho Le is one of my favorite things about Portland... =)

I have to say- this was the best Pho I have ever had. He cooked everything fresh to order. It was nice seeing the beef cooked right there. The wait was long, as many have pointed out, but it was WELL worth it. The broth was absolutely amazing. So, bring some patience and and your appetite! One of the hardest working owners I have seen at a cart. Tipped him big!

I totally agree that the price and wait are totally worth the wait! I used to have a menu that had his number on it so I could call my order in, but lost it. Thanks for posting it oakey!

the soup here rocks. calling ahead is a good idea, since he does make everything fresh to order. excellent broth, high quality meat. It's a little more expensive than some other carts, but well worth it.

Of all the carts in this area of downtown, Pho Le has the best vermicelli bowls. His noodles are not overcooked and he has ample veges. However, he makes everything fresh... that's not a bad thing, but expect to wait 10 minutes for your plate. I haven't tried any of the pho soups, but I always see others eating them. The vietnamese sandwiches were good, but not great. He's usually open M-F, 11am-4pm. It helps to call your order in if you know what you want. 503-484-6486, I haven't called in an order for months so I don't know if that number is valid... I think he'd have a lot more business if you didn't have to wait so long for your food... but then again, if he preped more, the flavors and texture wouldn't be as fresh.

Yes, Portland's first rib and pho shack. Just kidding. It was a typo. Thanks for finding that, it has been fixed.
